Finding the Reversed House Edge at the right Roulette tables

The first thing you need to do when looking for the Reversed House Edge in roulette is to find a casino that offers the type of roulette game you are looking for: the roulette table that gives you the best odds.

On European roulette tables the house edge is 2.70%. On American roulette tables the house edge is 5.26%. The reason for this is the double zero in American roulette. Obviously you should look for casinos with European style casino tables.

Furthermore, when you find a casino to your liking with European roulette tables, you should check if the “En Prison Rule” applies. The “En Prison Rule” allow you to save the bet for the next spin if the ball lands on 0 and if you had placed an even-money bet. If you did and the ball lands on zero, the dealer places a marker next to your bet, giving you twice the winnings if you win the next round.

If you find yourself playing American roulette (in which case you are lost and should look for the exit), at least make sure the casino has the surrender rule which gives you half your bet back if the ball lands on 0 or 00.

Now you know what tables to choose. But how should you place your bets? Well, at least there is no shortage of people claiming to know exactly how, bulletproof like. Without cheating and bonuses there is no bulletproof way of winning at roulette in the long run, at least not that we know of, it’s just very unlikely. But with a good strategy, rock solid discipline and online casino bonus “exploitation” you may very well get the odds on your side.

Sitting behind a big bankroll I am a fan of doubling systems like the Martingale roulette betting strategy, where you double the bet every time you lose, and starting over whenever you win. The only problem here comes along when you run out of money or when you reach the house limit, so you should always have a healthy bankroll and be facing a large house limit when using this strategy. This is also a simple system, meaning you can take advantage of the free bar.

The Labouchere roulette system is less risky and gives more room for choice, but should only be used when sober as it is more complex. To read more about the Martingale strategy click here. To read up on the different types of bets you can place at a roulette table, click here.
